  5. Young/offspring • Breed through out the year • Takes 90 day’s to have baby’s • Liter range from 3-5 cubs

  6. predators • humans ,lions ,leopards ,and hyenas

  7. Remaining Population • 9,000 to 12,000 in the wild • 1,4000 in zoos

  8. Reasons Endangered • Lost of habitat ,poachers ,diseases

  9. Conservation • specially trained wild life protection units patrol the land they live in and keeps them away from poaching ,logging , habitat encroachment • Breed in captivity

  10. Other facts • Can live up to 10 years • Over short distances, they are the fastest animals on earth • Cannot roar-they growl hiss and yelp
