  1. Musleh Maud (ra) Presentation 2017

  2. Prophecy of Musleh Maud (ra) • I confer upon thee a Sign of My mercy according to your supplication. I have heard thy entreaties and have honored thy prayers with my acceptance through My mercy and have blessed this thy journey. A Sign of power, mercy nearness to Me is bestowed upon thee, a Sign of grace and beneficence is awarded to thee and thou art granted the key of success and victory. He will be accompanied by grace, which shall arrive with him. He will be characterized with grandeur, greatness and wealth. He will come into the world and will heal many of their disorders through his messianic qualities and through the blessings of the Holy Spirit. He is the Word of Allah for Allah’s mercy and honor has equipped him with the Word of Majesty. He will be extremely intelligent and understanding and will be meek of heart and will be filled with secular and spiritual knowledge. • Behold a light cometh, a light anointed by God with the perfume of His pleasure. We shall pour Our spirit into Him and he will be sheltered under the shadow of God. He will grow rapidly in stature and will be the means of procuring the release of those held in bondage. His fame will spread to the ends of the earth and people will be blessed through him. He will then be raised to his spiritual station in heaven. This is a matter decreed.  (Announcement February 20th 1886)

  3. Quran • And We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and decisive judgment. 38:21

  4. Like of Dawood (as) • "O Dawood, behave towards people gently and benevolently" (Anjam-e-Atham RK Vol-11, P-60) • "Likewise God, in previous parts of Brāhīn-e-Ahmadiyya, named me Dawood." (Brāhīn-e Ahmadiyya Part-5, P-89 RK Vol-21, P-116) • "I am a tree bearing fruits of the qualities of Dawood. I became Dawood and Goliath is my prey." (Brāhīn-e-Ahmadiyya Vol-5, P-103 RK Vol-21 P-133)

  5. Wisdom of Suleman (as) • The story of Hazrat Dawood (as) is not complete without mentioning his son, Hazrat Sulemān (as) , a man of a strong determination and high resolve, inheritor of his great kingdom and a great Prophet like him. • Mentioning his high qualities Allah says in Holy Quran 38:21 • "And We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and decisive judgment." • These qualities are also mentioned in the Bible: • "God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite, wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. From all nations people came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom."1 Kings 4:29-34New International Version (NIV)” alislam.org article written by Ansar Raza Sahib

  6. Like of Suleman (as) • Family of Dawood (as) as mentioned earlier that Allah named the Promised Messiah (as) Dawood. It is therefore, a necessary outcome of this title that he should be given a Sulemān. In this regard HKM 2nd (ra) wrote that after one month of the demise of the Promised Messiah (as) he received revelation from God " O Family of Dawood act gratefully" (Tafseer-e-Kabeer Vol-2, P-66,67). • While stating this revelation Huzur (ra) said that though Allah did not call him Sulemān but “Family of Dawood”, he knew that he is given some qualities of Hazrat Sulemān (as) and in this there was a prophecy that he is going to be a Khalifa of the Promised Messiah (as) . Hazrat Khalifatul Masih 1st (ra) also described the resemblance of HKM 2nd( ra) with a saint whose name was Sulemān and who was made Khalifa at the age of 22 and remained Khalifa for 78 years. (Hayat-e-Nūr Ch-5, P-398) • Alislam.org article written by Ansar Raza sahib

  7. Similarities • Now we see the similarities between Hazrat Sulemān (as) and Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra). The first similarity is of divinely granted wisdom and knowledge. We know that Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) hardly attended school. On top of that his bad health never allowed him to concentrate on education. Thus, all of his amazing knowledge and wisdom was nothing but a divine gift. Tafseer-e-Kabeer and all of his books in Anwar-ul-Uloom and his speeches are testimony to this fact. • Second similarity between these two great men is that like Hazrat Sulemān, HKM 2nd (ra) inherited a spiritual kingdom from his father and reinforced it with a firm infrastructure. The kingdom given to Hazrat Sulemān (as) was not given to anyone. Likewise, the glorious Khilafat, spanning over 52 years, in which he erected the strong infrastructure of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat on the foundation laid by the Promised Messiah (as) is not given to anyone. • In the history of the Prophets we know two pairs of father and son who established and develop a city. Hazrat Ibraheem (as) & Hazrat Ishmael (as) founded and developed Mecca, whereas Hazrat Dawood (as) and Hazrat Sulemānas make Jerusalem one of the most important cities of the world. Walking on their footsteps, HKM 2nd (ra) founded and developed Rabwah, making it a spring of Islamic knowledge and wisdom gushed out of it and reached the corners of the earth. • Alislam.org article written by Ansar Raza Sahib

  8. Questions • Please share your thoughts on his intelligence or any part of his life. • Any other similarities between Hazrat Suleman (as) and Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) ? • Please share your thoughts !

  9. Tabligh • Like Hazrat Suleman (as) who wrote a letter to Queen Sheba, mentioned in Quran as Bilqees, HKM 2nd ( ra) wrote letters to many rulers of his time including lady ruler of Bhopal, Sultan Jahan Begum. • Alislam.org article written by Ansar Raza Sahib

  10. Advise from extremely intelligent • Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) said that moral training of children should be done in a relaxed manner for example when they are playing. For small children this could be done through stories. These stories do not have to be unnecessarily untrue. He said during his childhood the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) used to tell stories of Hazrat Yusef (as) Noah (as) and Moses (as) and for him as a child these true accounts were stories. The Promised Messiah (as) also told an Arabian Nights tale. There can be some stories which have a moral. When children are a little older their moral training can be done during games and sports. • Friday sermon January 29th, 2016

  11. Moral story • Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) said that the Promised Messiah (as) related an account regarding Hazrat Moses (as) many times. When Hazrat Moses (as) left Egypt he met an opposing tribe. The king of the tribe was threatened of defeat so he asked a holy man to pray against Hazrat Moses (as). The holy man prayed and God revealed to him that Moses (as) was a Prophet of God and prayers against him should not be made. The holy man had this conveyed to the king. The king tried the same trick which Satan used to entice Adam and gave a lot of jewelry to the wife of the holy man but the holy man said he could not pray against Hazrat Moses (as) because he was a beloved of God. He said he had been told so by God. • However, his wife insisted that he prayed as the king had wished. They took the holy man to a place to pray against Hazrat Moses (as) but he said his heart did not open up, so they took him to a few more places. Eventually the holy man lost his faith because he prayed against Hazrat Moses (as) • Following his malediction there was chaos among the people of Hazrat Moses (as) owing to their own spiritual failings and the faith of the holy man was also lost and his future standing as a holy person was over. This story illustrates that just as a bird flies out of one's hands faith left the holy person's heart. Developing one's spirituality and faith takes hard work but it can all be lost for something quite minor! • Friday sermon January 29th, 2016

  12. Remembrance of Allah • Hazrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) used to say a Persian proverb which means, one's hand may be busy doing work but one's heart must be filled with remembrance of the Beloved [God]. • Once someone asked a holy person how many time should he remember God. The holy person replied you want to count how many times you remember your Beloved? Real remembrance of God is that which is countless. The good point in remembering Him at appointed hours is that having abandoned everything else man makes those times exclusive for God. Since both these situations are important, remembrance at appointed times and all the time, the right way is to remember God at appointed times as well as at other times, while one is standing and sitting and doing other things. The objective of Ahmadies should be to listen to matters of faith attentively and try and retain them and then put them in practice. • Friday sermon January 29th, 2016

  13. Questions • What’s your take on these short stories and why they are important ? • How can we become Musleh in our own sphere ? • Please share your thoughts!

  14. Becoming Musleh • “It should be remembered that it is not simply about the birth of one person who accomplished great works. The reality of this prophecy will be brighter still when there will be people among us to take this task forward, that is the task for which the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) came and in support of which God declared Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) to be Musleh Maud (ra)”. • Friday Sermon February 18th, 2011]

  15. Our responsibility • Our beloved Huzur (atba) has reminded us of our responsibilities in this regard. It is our task to try and be ‘Musleh’ in our own spheres and spread Islam with our knowledge, our word and our deed. We should pay attention towards reformation of the self, reformation of our children and reformation of society. If we spend our lives with this consideration, we will be honoring the dues of Musleh Maud Day, otherwise ours will be hollow speeches. May God enable us to do so.  • Friday sermon February 18th, 2011
