  2. About Fred Hoiberg Fred Hoiberg was born on October 15, 1972 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He played basketball at Iowa State. He also made it into the Ames High School basketball Hall of Fame. Fred took the coaching place of Greg McDermott. Fred Hoiberg Greg McDermott

  3. NBA Career Fred Hoiberg played in the NBA for 10 years. He played for the Indiana Pacers from 1995 to 1999. After the Pacers he played for the Bulls for 4 years. He went to the Timberwolves after the Bulls. He played for the Timberwolves for 2 years and then retired because of a heart problem.

  4. Coaching Career On April 27, 2010 Fred Hoiberg became the men’s basketball coach for Iowa State. The Cyclones didn’t do to bad that year but they didn’t make it to the NCAA tournament. The next year Fred took the Cyclones to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2005.
