Renewable Energy Contribution cont’d • Bio-diesel project approach • PCJ projects 4M gal for local distribution (2012) • Requires 12,000 acres (sub-par or marginal lands) • Production phases • 1st phase (2008/2009) • Small scale 5 ton a day plant (500 gallons per day) • Nut Sheller will be procured • 2nd phase (2009/2010) • Expanded by procuring 50 ton a day plant (5,000 gallons per day) • Grain storage silos and testing capabilities. • 3rd phase (2010/2011) • Building large scale 4 million gallon per year plant • Requisite tank storage, lab testing and quality control capabilities • bi-products such as fertilizer meal and pharmaceuticals recovered for resale Ministry of Energy and Mining
