C Preparing To Read. Background Look at the picture on page 123 of a produce section of a grocery store. There are many kinds of organic and regular fruits and vegetables. Use the information in the picture to complete these sentences. Pg. 122 2- Organic apples cost $ 2.49 a pound. 3- Regular pears cost $ 0.99 a pound. 4- Organic pears cost $ 1.59 a pound. 5- Red leaf lettuce costs $ 1.12 each. 6-Green leaf lettuce costs $ 0.99 each. 7- Organic green leaf lettuce costs $ 2.98 each. 8-Organic green leaf lettuce is the most expensive lettuce. But many sodas are made with artificial colors. These colors come from chemicals. 2- Sometimes bananas are green and hard. To ripen them, put them in a paper bag.
