Harry Coumnas Is a 22 Years Old Psychology Student from Germany Who Loves To Explore Mysterious Islands The isolation of an island is one of the things that make it a perfect place for strange things to happen. Every island across the world has its own mysterious tales that make most people fear them; however for a 22 years old Psychology student from Germany Harry Coumnas such islands are worth visiting. Harry loves to stroll through the terrifying tales of these islands and visit them with his friends. Recently, he visited the Island of San Servolo which is located off the coast of Italy, and had become a “morocomio” or an institution for the insane during the nineteenth century. Interestingly, the asylum was a religious facility where the key methods of treatment that were followed for the insane patients were absolute isolation and repression. Well, this extremely fascinating aspect of the Island made Harry want to visit it at least once in his lifetime. When Harry Coumnas visited this asylum, he found displays of several restraint devices, such as chains, straight jackets, & handcuffs, all of which were used on the patients. During the visit, he also discovered that electroshock therapy was widely used for treating the patients, alongside other methods like open dialogue between patients and physicians. Harry Coumnas described his visit to the Island of San Servolo as one of a kind experience and said that he would like to explore more such places in future. The next island on his list is Socotra Island, which is located off the coast of Yemen and looks like an alien planet. Its endangered flora is unique because of its remote location’s isolation, temperature extremes, & arid conditions. Harry is planning to visit this island by the mid of this year.
