  1. Using Audacity in the Lab Open Audacity Save the project on H:\drive Project >Edit ID3 tags Record your voice Stop Save again Edit Save again

  2. Do ID3 Tags These tags fill in the information items in iTunes and other players.

  3. Export to MP3 in Audacity • File > Export As MP3 • Locate Lame File • C:\program files\Audacity\Lame • Save in H:\Drive • Save again on c:\my documents • (note that my documents are generally wiped daily)

  4. Formatting for Podcast/RSS Open RSS Feed Creator Pro 5.4 Click OK when it becomes available Use the Wizard Choose Podcast/iTunes

  7. Save the Feed in Two Places • Feed >Save • RSS Feed Creator Pro directory • Easy for the program to find • Feed > Save As • My Documents directory • Easy for you to find

  8. Upload Xml & Mp3 Files • Upload the files to your webpage. • If uploading to your TU webpage, you can do this through webdisk ( found at tiger.towson.edu) or via your H;| drive under the WWW directory

  9. Feedburner – Google App • Log into Google • Go to My Account • Click Feedburner

  10. Follow the Wizard • Enter the url/path of the XML file • http://tiger.towson.edu/~username/filename.xml • iff saved in the same area as your homepage file)

  11. Key Wizard Screens • Feed title should be the same as in the Audacity ID3 tags and RSS Feed Title.

  12. Don’t click the link now even though it’s tempting • Click next

  13. Uncheck iTunes podcasting if you aren’t going to publish to iTunes

  14. Your Feed Link • …Don’t Click the Link..though Still Tempting • Your feed link is here but there is still more to do

  15. Publicize • Click Publicize • Click Friendly Graphic • Click Chicklet Chooser • Choose Subscribe in a reader • Scroll Down • Copy html (highlight and click Ctrl+C) • Paste in the code of your webpage (Ctrl+V) • Rename the hyperlink. If in Sharepoint, highlight the hyperlink, type Ctrl+k, and change the title. Click OK

Embedding MP3 in Ppt • Save the Ppt on your H:\ drive • Save the MP3 on your H:\ drive in the same directory • Open Ppt. • Click the Insert Tab • Choose Sound from File • Browse to the file on your H:\ drive • Click OK • Click on the icon that appears. • In the upper right corner, click “Sound Tools” and edit the fields accordingly
