  3. RECREATION • Recreational activities include, rock climbing bungee jumping, and watching a very famous storm called the Red Spot.

  4. Location • Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun, 778,330,00km or 5.20 Atomic Units.

  5. History • Galileo first discovered Jupiter in 1610. Jupiter was named after Jove or Zeus the Greek God. Zeus was the son of Cronus or Saturn. Jupiter may have been formed from the same cloud as the sun. Jupiter was formed when silicate and metal fragments joined with icy comet fragments. But Jupiter is too small to become a star.

  9. WEATHER • The higher up in Jupiter’s atmosphere the colder it gets. Ultraviolet rays connect with molecules in the higher atmosphere, creating yellow brown smog. The winds on Jupiter’s equator reach up to 600km (360mph) Jupiter storms often appear out of nowhere, these storms are made when warm bubbles of gas rise through the atmosphere deep within the planet

  10. DID YOU KNOW? • Jupiter’s most famous storm is the Great Red Spot which has raged on since the first telescope was aimed at Jupiter. Jupiter was named after Jove (Zeus) the Greek God. Jupiter is three times bigger than Sirus the brightest star.
