  1. Kidney Stone Symptoms Role of Kidney Stone Kidney plays an essential role in moving out the toxins from our body through urine. They aren’t just one big filtering sponge, though. Every minute, about one liter of blood (one fifth of all the blood pumped by the heart) enters the kidneys through the renal arteries. The blood then runs through tiny filtering units of the kidney, called nephrons.

  2. How Kidney Stone Formed The leading cause of kidney stones is a lack of water. When there is not enough water to dilute the uric acid (component of urine), the pH level within the kidney drops and becomes more acidic. An excessively acidic environment in the kidneys is conducive to the formation of kidney stones.
