About Miss Boros My Background: • Starting my 3rd year in 4th grade • Started off as a Kindergarten IA, taught 3rd for a year and 4th the past 2 • Went to Butler University on a softball scholarship • Graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (K-6)with endorsements in mild intervention and reading. • Born and raised in Ohio

Student Responsibilities • Students are responsible for taking home all needed supplies each night. • Students are responsible for writing in their assignment notebooks daily. • Please help keep your student responsible for cleaning out his or her ‘keep at home’ side of their take home folder and their backpack nightly.

  6. Classroom Management Clip Chart • Clipping up and down on chart daily • Parents contact may be for both positive and negative behavior • Students will clip down for missing homework, 2nd semester students will owe automatic 3 laps until hw is turned in Assignment Notebook • Class assignments and notices are written in daily, please check your child’s assignment notebook, it does not need to be signed • Assignments are also on my website

  8. Science • Hands on investigations using the Scientific Method and science journals for recording data and findings. • Motion and Design • Earth’s Changing Surface • Electricity and Heat • Animal Studies • No Science Grades- 1st/4th quarter • No Social Studies 2nd/3rd quarter

Word Work • Spelling • 20 words a week • Following a rule • Pre test on Monday to determine test words for Friday • Vocabulary Words • 10/12 words each week • Words are in Reach Text Book • Words are in Reach Unit Packet • Multiple choice test each Friday • Studying/Practice • words practiced daily • Using organizers, stories, writing, games, etc. • Words should be practice at home each night as well and written in word work folder, checked Friday
