  3. Why Develop? Customer demand for:- • Digital display of speed • Greater confidence in a digital setting via membrane keypad • Speed range of 2–1000 mm/min not easy to set by potentiometer • Lock-off speed so it cannot be adjusted ‘accidentally’

  4. Why Develop? Customer demand for:- • Digital display of displacement • Clear 12mm high digits • Units of mm and inch • Remembers last tared position at switch off

Customer demand for:- • Simple force/displacement stand • Remembers last tared position at switch off • Elementary break test with displacement when combined with AFG under • Stand Stop function • Input from displayed load reading of AFG to test stand • RS232 output of load & displacement from stand

Sales Potential? • Entry-level ‘system product’ when combined with AFG • Ideal for simple motorised applications with limited budget • Price same as current MultiTest models • ‘Digital’ upgrade kits available for existing MultiTest and UltraTest users • Target > 500 per year … currently 350 • Introduce into 5kN, 10kN and 25kN range ??
