  3. Scholarship and Financial Aid • Financial Aid Night: Tuesday, December 9th and 11th (Spanish version) in the Library at 6:30 PM. Presented by 10,000 Degrees • Last year’s accepted scholarships totaled over $760,000 • Resources for scholarships will be available in the College and Career Center and will be posted on Naviance! • FAFSA Challenge!!! Partnership with 10K and NUSD to get every senior family to apply for Financial Aid.

Senior Year Calendar September 25 UC Essay Workshop Career Center September 19 Registration deadline for the October 25th ACT October 1 CSU Application is live October 2 Registration deadline November 8th SAT October 2 Common Application Essay Workshop Career Center October 9 CSU Application Workshop Career Center October 16 UC and Common Application Workshop Career Center October 25 ACT test date November 1 UC application submission period begins November 6 & 7 Registration deadline December SAT and ACT November 8 SAT test date November 30 App deadline for CSU & UC (SUBMIT BEFORE THANKSGIVING) December 6 SAT test date December 9 & 11 Financial Aid Presentation 6:30 in the Library December 13 ACT test date Dec.15 – Jan. 15 Private college apps due (general timeframe) January 1 FAFSA and Cal Grant opens February Community and Junior College Applications open February – March On-Campus Placement testing for SRJC and COM March 2 FAFSA submission deadline March 1 – 31 Admission decisions mailed to students

Testing • Test dates remaining: • ACT – October 25th deadline to register is September 19th and December 13th deadline to register is November 7th • SAT – November 8th deadline to register is October 9th and December 6th deadline to register is November 6th Registration : • ACT – www.actstudent.org • SAT – www.collegeboard.com • Report scores: • Send scores directly to colleges. • For UC system, you may send to one campus and they will share with all. • For CSU system, use code 3594 (SAT) or send to one CSU campus and use ACT Score Manager (ACT) to release score to additional campuses.

  8. Complete the ‘Counselor Packet’ and Senior Brag Sheet if requesting a letter of recommendation or if need any forms to be sent by your counselor. Allow at least 20 working days if you are requesting a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. A Brag Sheet and essay are necessary tools for your counselor, teacher or other recommender to have to compose a proper letter of recommendation for you.
