  5. Famous Paintings No.3 The weeping woman was a silent protest against the Spanish civil war

  6. Famous Painting No.4 • The three musicians was painted in the summer of 1921

  7. Facts • Picasso was inspired by African tribal masks. Picasso began his cubism art phase in 1907 • Several paintings by Picasso rank among the most expensive in the world • A Picasso painting named Garcon a la pipe was sold in 2004 for $104 million.

  8. His Work • The total number of artworks he created was around 50,000 • 1,885 paintings • 1,228 sculptures • 2,880 ceramics • 12,000 drawings & thousands of prints

  9. After his death • Picasso died on the 8th of April 1972 making him 91 years old • Picasso’s last words are said to have been “Drink to me and my health” • Picasso is still loved today for his paintings and through learning about him in schools Picasso will always be remembered.
