  2. ‘Love Well and Work Hard’ • Love well – v9-10. • Love in v9 is ‘philia’ and ‘agape’. • Philia love = natural human affection (feelings) • Agape love = sacrificial, willingly giving to others, even when we don’t like them! • Agape love comes from God – v9

  4. ‘As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another’John 13:34

  5. ‘Love Well and Work Hard’ • Work Hard – 4:11-12. • 'Lead a quiet life & mind your own business'= ‘don't antagonize people’ • ‘Work with your hands’ = don’t rely on others.

  6. For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat. We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. 2 Thess 3:10-12

  7. 'Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only that which is helpful for building others up'. Ephesians 4:29
