  1. What is IVF Treatment and When Should You Go for It Amidst highly-stressed, busy schedules and dynamically changing careers, couples often find it difficult to conceive. After some disappointments and counselling, the doctors suggest to go for an IVF treatment. The In Vitro fertilization, also known as IVF treatment, involves the usage of fertility drugs to produce multiple eggs and increase the chances of getting pregnant. The eggs are retrieved from the ovaries of the mother with the help of a needle and are fertilized in a laboratory. These embryos grow for almost 3 to 5 days and are installed into the uterus. Way more successful as compared to intrauterine insemination, it is one of the most commonly accepted methods to treat infertility issues. Some of the best fertility hospitals in Hyderabad suggest the IVF treatment and implement it successfully. When Should You Go for an IVF Treatment? IVF treatment works when the patient is dealing with the following problems 1. Unexplained infertility 2. Fallopian tube damage 3. Ovulation issues 4. Prolonged infertility 5. Poor semen quality 6. Endometriosis 7. Pelvic adhesions However, it is important to remember that IVF treatment cannot make new eggs and if the uterus doesn't have the capacity to hold a pregnancy, the problem cannot be resolved by IVF treatment. The Success Ratio of IVF Treatments You might or might not like to hear this, but age is one of the biggest factors that determine the success of IVF. Women that are below the age of 35 have a 50% chances of getting pregnant with IVF egg retrieval and embryo transfers. If one doesn't get pregnant after the first IVF attempt. There are high chances of getting pregnant in the subsequent cycles. Advantages, Disadvantages, and Risks of IVF Treatment As we discussed earlier, the IVF method is the fastest and the most successful way to get pregnant as compared to intrauterine insemination and other fertility procedures. Through the IVF method, one can also enable genetic testing of embryos. It also has the potential to prevent multiple births through single embryo transfer (SET). If a parent wants more than one child, they can go for this method. As a part of it, the frozen embryos that were not used to get the first pregnancy can be put in the uterus when one wants to have additional children. The only disadvantage of this method is, that it is a more prolonged and demanding process in comparison to IUI. IUI treatment asks for mild ovarian stimulation and a little or no monitoring, unlike

  2. the IVF method. IVF involves a strong stimulation of ovaries, regular monitoring and an egg retrieval procedure as a part of which, anaesthesia is required. Factors to Consider Before Choosing IVF Factors like age, family medical history and fertility diagnosis help the parents decide if they should go for IVF. In case the chances are less, one can also consider going for donor sperms or eggs. Other factors to consider include: ●Number of embryos to be transferred ●Number of embryos to freeze ●Pre-treatment genetic testing of men and women wanting to get pregnant Concluding... It is ideal to go for an IVF treatment if you do not have much time to get pregnant because of your age or the ovarian reserve is empty. The decision as to whether to go for IVF or IUI should be made my patient after consulting with a gynaecologist or a fertility specialist. A reproductive endocrinologist can give the best advice when it comes to knowing about ovarian stimulation treatments. It can be difficult to pursue fertility treatment as there are a few challenges involved. But if you give an ample amount of time, you are sure to be successful.
