  1. Pro’s & Con’s of Technology In the Classroom By: Laurel Bonds

  2. “They’re an Educational Tool…..” Pro Students can use technology as an educational tool that will enhance the results of the students final grades. Con Students can be distracted by the leisure to do what ever they want to with the technology that they have in front of them.

  3. Visual Learners Pro’s For visual learners this tool is great in the classroom setting. They can see pictures and read a text along with it. Con’s For students that learn better by hearing the material from their teacher, this tool may not be the best learning device.

  4. Notes, Notes, and More Notes…..! Pro’s For classes like a marketing class there are a whole bunch of notes to be taken. Having a computer ensures faster note taking and less hand cramps. Con’s The opposite side of this argument is the fact that for some its harder to look at the PowerPoint being shown and type notes at the same time.

  5. Disscusion Pro’s Having class discussions are great and using technology to document the conversation is even better! Con’s During the class discussion students may be tempted to go and stray from the conversation and look on a Social Networking site.

  6. It Will Show…. Pro’s If you are using your technology wisely and taking advantage of your resources you grade will reflect it. Con’s If students who have technology at their finger tips take it for granted and waste time then their grade will decrease and reflect their decision.

  7. Response to Article Overall I think that the article was very informative and hits many of the pros and cons to having technology in the classroom. From a students point of view these are all of the things that I can see a student doing: taking advantage of the technology in front of them, social media, and being a visual learner. All of these things are some points that the article hit.

  10. Explanation In this scene the Titans coach took them running to the Gettysburg field where the Battle of Gettysburg happened. This coach or “teacher” is using the many people that died in this battle to show how hatred tore them apart.

  11. Application This coach is using a historical event that happened a long time ago to show his players that hatred leads to destruction. If all of his players hate each other they will destroy a family, a friendship, and a team. This coach is teaching a valuable life lesson and this proves to impact the players later on in this movie.
