  1. Vocabulary Instant Replay • Monomial – an expression that contains only one term with a whole number exponent. • Binomial – a polynomial of two terms. • Trinomial – a polynomial of three terms. • Polynomial – an expression that contains one monomial or the sum/difference of monomials.

  2. Vocabulary Instant Replay • Term – each monomial in a polynomial. • Degree – the value of the exponents of a term. • Degree of a Polynomial – the highest degree of the terms of a polynomial. • Exponent – the number that shows repeated multiplication of a base.

  3. Vocabulary Instant Replay • Base – the number that is multiplied as many times as the exponent indicates. • Constant – a number not multiplied by a variable. A term with degree equal to 0. • Coefficient – a number multiplied by a variable. The number in front of the variable. • Leading Coefficient – the coefficient of the term with the largest exponent.

  4. Vocabulary Instant Replay • Area of Rectangle: A = lw • Perimeter of a Rectangle: P = 2l + 2w • Area of a Triangle: A = • Volume of Box: V = lwh
