  1. How to get MD MS Direct Admission in Maharashtra? Postgraduate medical education in India has been in existence since 1875. In this period, the post-graduate courses were started in various disciplines like Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry, etc. After independence, these courses were taken over by the government and are now known as PG Diploma Courses. These courses are offered by different universities and colleges across the country. •The MD MS course duration varies from 2 years to 4 years depending upon the university/college. •The course curriculum includes basic sciences, clinical subjects, and practical training. •The students who complete their course successfully are awarded a degree by the respective university. •PG Diploma Courses are regulated by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. About Maharashtra University of Health Sciences- MUHS •Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has been recognized as a Deemed-to-be University under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. The university is located in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. •MUHS offers various courses in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, paramedical sciences, allied health sciences, management studies, law, engineering, architecture, agriculture, veterinary science, homeopathy, Ayurveda, yoga, etc. •The campus is spread over an area of about 1,000 acres. The academic session of MUHS starts in April and ends in March. •The university has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university has been awarded an A grade by NAAC in 2016.
