  1. What’s in a Name? By Joy Agre 2 T

  2. What’s in a Name?Reading 2 In celebration of the Beatles’ first American tour in 1964, Baskin-Robbins created a new ice cream flavor called “Beatle Nut.” They also added a new flavor in 1980 to promote the Village People’s movie Can’t Stop the Music. For that occasion, they created “Can’t Stop the Nuts.”

  3. What’s in a Name?Question 2 If you could honor your favorite musical group with a special ice cream flavor, what flavor would you create? WHY?

  4. What’s in a Name?Teacher’s Page Students should first read to themselves then together as a class aloud. Brainstorm and give examples of possible answers to questions together as a class. Then have individuals answer independently. Maybe have a contest to see whose “dish” or “ice cream flavor” or “instrument” is the class favorite. Incorporate social studies by holding a secret ballot vote for each category. As an extension see if the students could really create anything they named and bring it to show the class.
