  3. Have you been to KNMA the first Private Art Museum in India! Finding a good art museum in India is not that easy as most museums are historical in nature and there are few options when it comes to museums that can give you access to contemporary Indian and South Asian art. KNMA however is one such shining star in the world of museums in India. Established at the initiative of the avid art collector Kiran Nadar, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) opened its doors to the public in January 2010, as the first private museum of art exhibiting Modern and contemporary works from India and the sub-continent. Located in the heart of New Delhi, India’s capital city, KNMA as a non-commercial, not- for-profit organization intends to exemplify the dynamic relationship between art and culture through its exhibitions, publications, educational, and public programs. KNMA along with addressing the need for contemporary artmuseums in India is also promoting Fine Arts in India in a big way through KNMA free workshops. Yes that’s true not only is the access to museum free but its incredible fine art workshops are also free!

  4. Promoting Fine Arts in India and it strives with its full capacity to serve this purpose. Various sections of the society are encouraged and invited through versatile modules to visit the museum. These modules are sensitively designed to suit recreational as well as knowledge dissemination goals. KNMA encourages participation of the local community through various activities organized within and outside the museum premise. The latest workshop you can participate is on Silk Screen Printing with Air Ink. This is a KNMA artistic screen printing project, which includes the installation of a temporary screen printing workshop. The aim of the project is to use classical screen printing in combination with contemporary content for a project in public space. Textual as well as photographic models, which above all raise socio-cultural questions about social contexts and critically question them, will be exposed on screens and printed directly in public space. Overprints of poster surfaces, wall or glass surfaces, as well as specially produced canvases, wooden surfaces, etc., can be used. This kind of direct reference to the found underground transforms every public surface into an artistic starting point, inviting critical and aesthetic reflection. Explore more at KNMA website.
