    6. 6 “Personal Care” includes the provision of appropriate assistance in counteracting or alleviating the effect of old age and infirmity; disablement; past or present dependence on alcohol or drugs; or past or present mental disorder, and in particular includes : action taken to promote rehabilitation assistance with physical or social needs counselling (HPSS Quality, Improvement and Regulation (NI) Order 2003)

    8. 8 Registration phases Phase 2 – social work students Phase 3 – domiciliary care managers (includes supporting people services with care element) - care staff in residential and nursing homes Phase 4 – domiciliary care staff (including SPS), day care staff, rehabilitation officers, drivers with care responsibilities, SWA’s.
