Our Principal • Mrs. Molly Howard is our principal. • She is the mediator and the head honcho • She is nice and respectful however she will not deal with mess! • She has been the national principal of the year • She likes dealing with children and always willing to help in any way possible. • She always make sure JCHS is in order and the people in it are safe • If anyone puts JCHS down she is on their backs!!!

  3. School Song • With spirits brave and gold that’s worthy, Students loyal and true. We will ever sing the praises Of the Gold and Blue We have loved her, We have served her noble JCHS. So we’ll now ad then forever know the Warrior’s best. We have loved her, We have served her noble cause proclaim. So we’ll now and then forever Sing the warrior fame.

About JCHS • Jefferson County High School is a place that offers you the chance to become the best person to your ability. • We have college prep and tech prep classes to help you prepare for your career of interest. • Each teacher here is to help you not hinder you in any way. • There is a career center here to help make up your mind on what career interest you. • If you need help there is a counselors office to assist you. • Classes here may challenge you because they make you reach your highest potential. • If you ever feel unsafe there is an officer here to assist you. • Do not wait around if you need help get it right way! • Jefferson County High is the one of best school in the nation to learn grow and be successful

  6. Schedule For Each block • Homeroom 8:00 – 8:10 • 1st Period 8:15 – 9:45 • 2nd Period 9:50 – 11:20 • 3rd Period 11:25 – 1:00 • 1st lunch 11:20- 11:45 • 2nd lunch 11:55- 12:15 • 3rd lunch 12:20- 12:45 • 4th lunch 1:00- 1:25 • 4th Period 1:30 – 2:45

  7. Being On Time For School • School starts at 8:00am any time after that you are considered late. • In between each class you are given 5 minutes to get to your next destination. If you don’t make it then you are late NO EXSCUSES !

  8. Attendance • You only have 8 days per block to miss • If you go over your days you will be placed on contract and attend Saturday school.

  9. A Wing • A wing is the first wing to the left of the commons area. • This Wing includes: • Languages Arts (top of hall) • Social Studies (bottom of hall) • Chorus (end of hall)

  10. B Wing • This is the hall in the middle of the commons • This hall includes: • Science (Top of the hall) • Math (Bottom of the hall)

  11. C Wing • This is the hall for your career interest, Electives and ISS. • This Hall includes: • ROTC • Agriculture • Construction • Construction • Multimedia • Business Ed. • Horticulture

  12. Restrooms • There are Restrooms on each of the hallways and in the commons area. When needing to go to the restroom your agenda may serve as a pass or bathroom passes may be given out by your teacher.

  13. Lunch Rules • When getting your lunch you are to go through any three of the lines and get everything you want and need before you enter your code and go to your seat. • You should not cut in line when getting your lunch because if you are caught you will have to wait until the line clears to get your lunch.

  14. Paying For Lunch • If you pay for lunch you should pay your bill on time, because IF YOU DON’T Dr. Molly Howard will call you to the office in the morning to inform you on your status. • Bills must be paid in full each week.

  15. Extra Curriculum Activities • All activities are not mandatory. • Once you quit one you are not eligible for another sport for a school year. • If you are on the team you must keep your grades up or you will be off. • Football • Basketball • Tennis • Track/Field • Golf • Baseball • Cross Country • Soccer

  16. Clubs Offered • All clubs meet once per nine weeks grading period, if the sponsor thinks it necessary. All additional meetings will take place after school. Students will be responsible for providing their own transportation home from these after school meetings. Most clubs charge dues to be a member. • Beta • FFA • FCCLA • FBLA • FCA • Key Club • Math Team • Student council • Photography

  17. Lockers • Lockers are available for students who want them. • Lockers are $5 • Go to your lockers between classes and before homeroom. • Do not ask teachers to go to your lockers during class.

  18. Rules You Must Follow To Be Successful • Be Prepared • Stay in Seat • No Fighting • No Gum • Follow Dress Code • No Loitering halls

  19. Be Prepared For Class • Not being prepared for class is a no no. When you go to each class you must be ready to start on opening assignments and instructions to be given. • Most teachers will not allow you to continue class without your materials at hand. • If you are not prepared be prepared for administration.

  20. Stay In Your Seat • When You enter into the class, report to your seat and stay there until you are given permission to do otherwise. • Staying in your seat will mean less disturbance from the learning environment.

  21. No Fighting • Fighting is a no-no for this place. • Jefferson County High is a place of learning. • If your have “beef” with another student take it to the administration before it gets to out of hand. • If you fight: -Suspension -Referral to Tribunal -Possible Kicked out of school

  22. No Gum • Even though gum is something to just keep your mouth fresh, it also have a tendency to be placed on chairs, under tables, and in the carpets. • The school is clean and needs to stay that way.

  23. Follow Dress Code • Girls wear dresses and skirts that are below the finger tip. • Boys wear your pants around your waist not your knees. • Make yourself presentable. • Look like you want to be successful

  24. No Loitering In The Hall • The halls are not the place to meet up with friends during class. • If you are caught in the halls during class you will have to deal with administration.

  25. No Electronic Devices MP3 players • If you want to keep these items turn them off or leave them home. Cell Phones I-Pods Camera

  26. No Grooming • Comb hair in the restroom • Make-up can be touched up the bathroom

  27. Restroom • ONLY 3 bathroom passes are allowed per teacher. Go before school, during lunch or after school.
