  12. A Look at Data • Highlight TEKS that were under 60% for each assessment • Write an a-ha for your observations on a thought bubble • Share thought bubbles • Something to think about… • How was this standard assessed? • How was it taught?

  13. Exploring Grade-level TEKS • Sort the items by objective • Once they are grouped by objective, assign a content SE for each item • Post on chart paper by objective • Analyze the structure of the items and performance data

  14. Reflection: Rotating • How do we ensure that these TEKS receive appropriate emphasis in the classroom? • Based on the previous activity, what are the implications for how you re-teach the TEKS you highlighted earlier?

  15. Instruction • Small group intervention lesson • Model lesson • Lesson Components • Instructional Supports • How can we ensure full mastery of the grade-level content?

  16. TI-Navigator • The TI-Navigator system creates a powerful connection between students and educator wirelessly networking each student’s graphing calculator to the classroom computer. • A growing body of research shows that effective use of the TI-Navigator system and graphing calculators improves student engagement, understanding and performance. • Teachers can: • Track the progress of individual students or the class in real time • View student coursework, check problem solving techniques and guide performance • Use instant feedback to create a dynamic learning environment proven by research* to increase student success
