  3. Project synopsis • A 3 years project – Feb. 2009 to Feb. 2012 (i.e. present situation = 96% of the timeframe) • Scope = Safety, Security & Environment • Contractor = Egis Avia, AVSEC,LHC, NLR • 9 direct Beneficiaries + 3 indirect REMINDING Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

Project synopsis • Project Objectives: • Improve Air Transport Safety, Security and Environmental issues through harmonisation with International and/or EU regulation & practices • Beneficiary Countries: • Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan(*) • Indirect: Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania (*) Uzbekistan: non-active Beneficiary Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

  5. Project synopsis Activities - 4 Work Packages (WP): WP1: Assessment of current situation in the 9 benef. Civil Aviations Reports / Need analysis WP2: General English language courses Technical English language courses Technical Trainings AIRW, OPS, FCL, SEC, ENV WP3: Provision of events, training, support “Management level” Organisation of study tours for managers (Capacity-building) WP4: Implementation of communication plan, incl. Website Newsletter & regional meetings Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

Activity duringthe reporting period • WP3 - Events and support activities • Last management course delivered (Train the Trainers) - 3/TTR in Kiev 21-25 Nov. for Central Asia states • Specific expertise support: last TA missions - 17 missions in the area of Safety (Institutional, legal, tech.) - 2 missions in the area of Security (Re ECAC audits) - 1 mission in the area of Environment (ICAO APER) • Analysis of TA data conducted to identify benefits • Support to SAAU to visit EASA & Turkish DGCA • Participation to Bishkek Aviation Safety Conference (Guest of the Kyrgyz CAA) Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

  12. TRACECACivil Aviation Project • General comments • Last Beneficiaries’ CAPs were well advanced. In several cases obstacles remain at national level for full CAP implementation (legal issues) • The management training courses were finished. It completes the previous technical training • The TA programme is being completed. It allowed significant measures that will be reviewed in today’s afternoon session Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011
