GRAD EVENTS 2019-20 • Grad Boat Cruise - September • Winter Formal Dinner & Dance – November 2019 Quilchena Golf & Country Club, Richmond Tickets available online soon - SchoolCash • ValedictoryCeremony – Friday, Jun 12/20 South Delta Baptist Church, Delta ~ Doors open 6pm Formal School Graduation. Scholarships and Awards presented. All grads do a Grad Write-Up. Grads get 2 tickets each $10. More tickets on sale in new year

GRAD EVENTS 2019-20 Cont’D • Grad Dinner & Dance – Wednesday Jun 24/20 • Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, Vancouver • Students take bus from and to McNair • Tickets paid $135 – school fees • Parent Reception 6 – 7pm and Dinner/Dance 7 – 11pm • Dry Grad – Wednesday, Jun 24/20 • McNair Sec School • A safe and sober event to celebrate graduation! Takes place right after dinner/dance event. Tickets paid $75 – school fees. • **Please go to McNair website to order grad gown and write grad comment! 50 words or less – parents please help. Also, bring a baby photo to school.

Required 48 credits: • Language Arts 10, 11, 12 12 credits • Social Studies 10 4 credits • Social Studies 11 or 12 4 credits • Science 10 4 credits • Science 11 or 12 4 credits • Mathematics 10 4 credits • Mathematics 11 or 12 4 credits • Physical Education 10 4 credits • FNA or ASK 10, 11 or 12 4 credits • Career Life Education 4 credits + 2 graduation assessments • Career Life Connections 4 credits Electives (Grade 10, 11 and 12): 28 credits TOTAL 80 credits *** A minimum of 16 credits must be at the Grade 12 level. (This includes 4 credits for a Language Arts 12 course, but does not include Graduation Transitions).

Common PSI Requirements • BRITISH COLUMBIA • Douglas –   English 12 (C requirement)​ • KPU – English 12 (C+ requirement)​ • UFV – English 12 and 3 grade 12 academics​ • UVIC and Capilano – English 12 and 3 grade 12 academics​ • SFU – English 12 and 4 grade 12 academics​ ~List A/List B and additional • UBC – English 12 and 5 other grade 12 courses • OUT OF PROVINCE • Alberta: English 12 and 4 Grade 12 academics​ • Ontario: English 12 and 4-5 Grade 12 academics​ • **SFU and UBC also require a second language 11; SFU will take intro, external language or beginner 11 ***​

APPLICATION TIPS The counselling department recommends: • Start researching now (grade 11s) • Start applying now (grade 12s) • It is your responsibility to find out when the deadline is • Finish applications by December 31st  • If applying to major universities, make sure you have a backup plan • Everyone should consider applying to Langara
