  2. What is a business card? • Businesscards are cards bearing business information about a company or individual. Why are they used? • Help to advertise your company or you personally. • Business cards help you to create a memory point. • Cheap way form of advertising.

History of Business cards • The business card dates back to 15th century China. • They originally began as a visitors card or a calling card. • The visiting card was introduced to Europe in the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV. • Later, ‘visitors cards’ began to be called business cards and were used as a way to exchange information between a businessman and the public.

What is typographic styling? • It is the technique when you arrange type to make the language visable. • The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading, adjusting the spaces between groups of letters and adjusting the space between pairs of letters.

  8. Examples for my business cards Business card This was created using specials and using Bahaus 93. It has a retro, informal vibe. Business card This was created using Broadway font. I like it as sophisticated and creates an old Hollywood feel. Business card Made using the font century and a loose font setting. This design is simple yet stands out due to loose font style. Business card This was created using Lucinda Bright. I like this as its understated and classy. Business card This was created using the font Forte. I like this as its energetic, classy and original.
