Data and research methods • Data • Weather data fromthe KMA’s (Korea Meteorological Administration) annual weather data • Disaster Cost from NEMA’s (National Emergency Management Agency) annual natural disaster report • News from Mass Media • Research method • Statistical analysis of Maximum instantaneous wind velocity. • Selected wind data of advisory and warning levels • Focused on the analysis of the causes and impacts of High Winds for the case of October 2006.

Concluding comments • Repetition of disaster is accumulated and it would be a great hazard caused a sever impact on property and human life and even psychology. • Further researches of climate change are required to forecast the weather hazard • Needs to develop mitigation strategies and technology such as GIS DB to mitigate the advert impact of weather hazard.
