Students are assigned to a class through the PreID upload or Create a New Student Wizard. • You not required to manage students through class assignments. • Test Session: is a required field for scheduling students to take a test. The three ways that you can set up sessions are: Test Group, Test Day, or Test Administration. • Student Authorization Ticket: is a secure ticket with a unique login ID and test code assigned to a student. • Session Roster: is a roster of students that are scheduled to test together in a test session. EOC TAM 74, 83, 87

  14. Glossary of Terms • Proctor Caching is a process of loading or “caching” test content locally on a computer at the school level. • Does not require a separate caching server and can run on any workstation on the network that meets minimum requirements. • Proctor Caching software is provided by Pearson. • Reduces test delays due to network congestion. • Provides students with a more seamless testing experience. • Requiredfor all FCAT/EOC computer-based testing in Florida. • Proctor Caching Network Diagram EOC TAM 102- 103

  15. Practice Test (ePAT) • All students MUST participate in a practice test prior to taking a computer-based assessment. • Can be used at any time, up to the day before the test. • Time required: approximately 45 minutes. • Provide students with URL so they can practice on their own: www.FLAssessments.com/ePAT. • Maintain a record of participation. • The practice test script must be read verbatim for each EOC subject, as applicable. • A practice test session is required for the field tests. • Scripts can be found in the EOC test administration manual. EOC TAM 16, 22 - 42

  16. About ePAT • Practice tests (ePats) are available for each subject: Algebra 1, Biology 1, and Geometry • Familiarizes students with • Item types • Reference Sheets/Periodic Table • Online tools • Process of responding to items on the computer • Practice test items are not intended to replicate the difficulty of the items on the test. • Work Folders will NOT be provided for practice tests. • Instruct students to bring their own scratch paper and pencils/pens. EOC TAM 16

  17. Conduct Practice Tests (ePAT) Prior to Test Administration • Even students who participated in a previous computer-based test MUST complete the appropriate EOC ePAT(s) prior to the Spring 2011 EOC administration. • Ensure that the following items have been downloaded to each computer that will be used for at ePAT. • ePAT Launcher • Appropriate test content (Algebra 1/Biology 1 FT/Geometry FT) • Scripts provided in the EOC test administration manual.
