  2. Saree is traditional Indian attire. Colors plays vital role in Indian wedding and even signify many beliefs embedded in our culture. Red is the most favorite color of Indian brides. Red and shades of red are prefer in Indian weddings for the bride. Lehenga, Saree and Salwar suits all are in color red for the "D" day. • Yellow ranks as a sacred color in many Indian weddings. It is linked with prosperity and depicted as good harvest of wheat and mustard. In wedding there is a haldi ceremony where yellow clothes are donned. In Maharashtria bride wears a yellow silk sari given by her maternal uncle for performing puja. In the Kangra region from the maternal aunt side a yellow chola is given on the phera ceremony. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh yellow saree is gifted to the bride for her wedding from her grandmother.

  3. White color usually symbolizes purity and faith. A Gujrati bride wears a white saree for her jaimala function. Assamese brides don their traditionally white saree with a zari border. The Malyali bride wears a typical creamy white color saree with gold border. A Bengali bride wears white saree with red or maroon border saree for their pooja ceremony. • Traditionally, a Maharashtrian bride wears nav-vari style saree. It has pleats between legs and then tucked into back.Thepallu rises from behind, covering the front of her body. Similarly Gujarati bride drapes the famous traditional gharcholasaree. It is red with golden zari over a network of checks. It's a seedhapallusaree.

  4. Kanjeevaramsarees are one of the most popular saree in Indian brides. It's of various patterns and styles like culture, history, animals, flowers, temple etc. It can be embedded with various works like zari, thread, moti, stones, sequence etc. • The Manipuri bride drapes a sarong with thsaree while An Orissa bride wears saree in Tussar silk. It has pattern of checkerboard in white, red and black colors. • A saree is always a very graceful garment with different styles and patterns. Yellow Sareesdraping style and its colors symbolizes various cultures and tradition. It also plays an important part in Indian wedding.
