  2. The silk road • People traded lot of goods on the silk road . They traded spices, clothing, fruits, tea, jade, flowers, woolen goods, blankets, curtains, skin, ornaments, even animals such as horses, sheep, and peacocks.

  3. The Zhou dynasty • At that time the Shang was being ruled by King Zhou. He did many unfair things to the people which grew a great rage in them. A man named Wenwang decided it was time to attack the king and trusted his son JiFa (Wuwang). After Wenwang died JiFa succeeded him he made all the preparations for the war so that’s when the Shang ended.

  4. Qin Shi Huang • Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of China. Qin united the warring states , he formed China in 221 B.C. After • That he declared himself emperor. • The emperor standardized weighs • Measures, bureaucracy, law, and • Scholarship. He was a cruel ruler • Who killed or harshly punished anyone • who disagreed with him the Qin dynasty ended • Soon after his death. Fun fact: Shi Huang means • first emperor

  5. Great wall of China • People worked on the great wall for years. Each emperor who had power added pieces to the wall for more protection. Emperor Qin wanted much better barricade to protect his kingdom. To do so he used peasant, captured enemies, criminals or anyone else who irritated him to help build the wall. Workers died of exhaustion or diseases. Most emperors used the same system • That Qin did. Fun fact: the great wall • cannot be seen from space.

  6. Chinese inventions • The Chinese had many inventions some of the inventions that the Chinese made were gunpowder, magnetic compasses, spinning wheels, paper money, porcelain, coal, iron, writing, the great wall, canals, locks, mechanical clocks, roads, and relay hostels
