Acquisition Terminology • AFV- Alternative Fueled vehicle • GHG- Green House Gas • PEV- Plug-in Electric Vehicle • Incremental Cost- price difference between the lowest priced gas-fueled vehicle and the requested AFV of the same class. • Surcharge – the monthly dollar amt. charged per vehicle to fund AFV incremental costs—surcharge Amt. set by Agency HQs. • AFV Fund- The money an agency accumulates and uses to purchase alternative fuel vehicles, that is generated through a monthly surcharge that is spread over the cost of the entire Fleet as directed by EPAct 1992/1995 The RIGHT VEHICLE.
