  3. 1999: Battle of Seattle 2000: IMF-WB Prague Summit, WEF Melbourne 2001: Summit of the Americas in Quebec; EU Summit in Gothenberg & Brussels; G8 Summit in Genoa 2002: 300 TH in EU Summit in Barcelona 100 TH in Washington vs. WTO (Ministerial Meeting) and US War & Israeli Aggression UK: 150TH demonstrators (largest since Vietnam) vs. US War of Aggression and UK support for this Rome, Paris, Sydney = anti-war demonstrations on same weekend (Sept 28) Quito, Ecuador: Anti-PPP and FTAA Anti-Globalization & Anti-War Protests

  4. Resistance in Oppressed Countries

  5. Resisting US Imperialist Domination • “axis of evil” (WMD) = North Korea, Iran, Iraq • rogue states = axis of evil + Libya and Syria • Venezuela • Cuba • China • Russia

  6. Armed Revolutionary Movements • FARC in Colombia • Shining Path in Peru • NCP-PLA in Nepal • CPP-NPA in the Philippines At least 6 Communist Parties waging People’s War in the Philippines, Nepal, India, Bangladesh & Turkey + 21 parties and organizations from 20 different countries supporting People’s War

  7. steel bananas, hormone-treated beef GMO crops Farm subsidies scrambling for control over markets diplomatic realm: open criticism of US aggressiveness and unilateralism Military: ESDP vs. NATO? Inter-imperialist Rivalry

  8. US War on Terror is an Imperialist War Against The People of the World • U.S. imperialism is pressed to increase the use of naked force to organize and enforce global exploitation – apart from the hidden hand of the market will be the ever more visible mailed fist. • U.S. military establishment is using the specter of global terrorism to justify fortifying its capacity to engage the multifarious challenges that monopoly capital faces across the globe. • “war on terrorism” also conveniently frames the tried-and-tested strategy of jumpstarting the sputtering U.S. economy through arms build-up & war.

  9. People Uniting vs. Imperialism But imperialism’s brutishness betrays its desperation. Amidst the intensifying general crisis of imperialism, the people of the oppressed countries and the people of the advanced capitalist countries unite and fight against their common enemy: imperialism. The oppressed peoples and exploited classes in the world are seizing the initiative and advancing national liberation, democracy and social liberation against imperialist war and plunder.
