  17. LOCK DOORS & COVER • TURN LIGHTS OFF • QUICKLY AND CALMLY GET STUDENTS AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS OR DOORS & SIT QUIETLY • THERE SHOULD BE NO TALKING • TAKE ATTENDANCE

  18. PLACE RED CARD UNDER DOOR IF A STUDENT IS MISSING OR THE SITUATION IN YOUR ROOM IS NOT SAFE • PROHIT ANY CELL PHONE USAGE • DO NOT UNLOCK THE DOOR FOR ANYONE. ASSIGNED PERSONEL WILL COME AND UNLOCK THE DOOR

  20. LISTEN FOR THE TORNADO DRILL ALARM. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRE DRILL ALERT • QUICKLY & QUIETLY MOVE THE STUDENTS INTO AN AREA WITH NO WINDOWS • HAVE STUDENTS KNEEL AND COVER HEADS • THERE SHOULD BE NO TALKING
