  1. Close Valve 4 so flow is stopped. 5 6 Priming the System Make sure Valve 2 is open to vent air displaced by initial flow. 2 3 4 When Bubble Trap is 2/3 full close valve 2. 7 Close Valve 3 so flow is stopped Turn On Pump. 8 1 Open valve 1 so that the flow is from the reservoir to the pump head.

  2. 5 Open Valve 4 so that flow is passed through the atrial cannula. 6 2 3 4 7 Set Valve 8 so that flow is directed to drain. 8 1

  3. 5 Open Valve 5 to allow air to vent. Close valve 6. 6 2 Change Valve 4 so that flow is Directed up to the aortic bubble trap.. 3 4 7 Close Valve 7 so that the aortic bubble trap can fill. 8 1

  4. When bubble trap is 2/3 full, close vent valve 5. 5 6 2 3 4 7 Open valve 7 and let flow pass through the aortic cannula and out to waste. 8 1

  5. Close valve 6 Open valve 6 so the flow is directed to the oxygenating chamber 5 6 Once the line is primed change valve 6 to direct the flow back to the reservoir. 2 3 4 7 Close valve 7 8 1

  6. Open valve 3 so the flow is directed to the oxygenating chamber 5 6 Once the line is primed change valve 3 to direct the flow back to the reservoir. 2 3 Close valve 3 4 7 Close valve 4 Turn off pump 8 1
