  2. AGTS Mission Shape servant leaders with knowledge, skill, and passion to revitalize the Church and evangelize the world in the power of the Spirit.

  3. Evangelism will actually have to look people in the eye and engage them relationally over a period of time.

  4. Spirituality that is a long obedience in the same direction and is utterly convinced that not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God, is a bold affirmation; not a tradition’s mantra.

  5. A spirituality that sees smiles and style as its greatest assets will not be adequate. • Suffering in massive quantities is already the experience of a majority of followers of Jesus in the world. Dare we think that we are exempt?

  6. Communities must represent Jesus fairly through misunderstanding and sheer contempt. • The term friend will have to be redefined and the graces of human interaction face-to-face, will have to be recaptured.

  7. Creeds that are reclaimed and reinvigorated by thorough and conceptual frameworks that capture the hearts of people set adrift by human self-destruction that reveals our sin nature.

  8. Any gospel that is not announcing a new society at work in the world, what the Apostle Paul called the Church, is simply not a robust Gospel. Scot McKnight: 8 Marks of the Gospel

  9. We belong to God. • He is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe • His Power is more than enough. • It arrives from the future and is complete and comprehensive. • His purpose is eternal—redemptive and transformative.
