  2. Mission of the Church. Look up the 2 Missions Jesus gave his Apostles. What should the Mission of the Church be ? To outline what the Mission of the Church is (L4) To understand that in the Church the mission of Jesus continues. To Consider our role in the mission of the Church.

  3. 1. Draw the “staircase to heaven”. You need 7 steps. 2. Arrange the mission tasks in order of priority. Put highest priority part of the mission on the bottom step, next high priority on 2nd step etc. • Preach who Jesus was and what he taught • Teach Jesus’ Commands • Love your neighbour: DO CHARITY • Love God with all your strength: PRAY • Forgive sins • Baptise • Heal the sick – (Sacrament of Anointing) • Cast out demons **What sort of “charity” should the Church get involved in? **Who and where should the Church preach to?

  4. Pack your Bags ! • when Jesus sent the Apostles out in 2’s on their mission, they were to take nothing with them. You, however, can take ONE rucksack. • WITH YOUR PARTNER DECIDE: • What activities would you do as your top 3 priorities ? • What would you take to carry out this mission ? • Who would you most want to preach to? • Where would you go ? Do a travel plan. • Write up your plan: full sentences! • PRESENT your MISSION.
