  3. What we did during our summer vacation • University and Medical Center alignment • Financial review in light of economic climate • Value of ProjectONE to Strategic Plan • Additional focus on patient experience • Evaluation of “green” building standards • Feedback on new designs

  6. How will we do it? We can proceed with ProjectONE and: • Have the capacity to pay debt on ProjectONE • Continue to invest in routine capital needs, including renovating existing buildings • Continue to invest in current faculty and staff and continue to recruit • Continue to invest in patient care, research and education • Meet our key metrics: EBIDA, Days Cash on Hand, Debt Service

Creates a platform for delivering personalized health care Delivering Personalized Health Care • Increases coordination and integration of inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services • Integrates research and education activities into the clinical setting • Meets patient needs and increases patient satisfaction by: • Providing single occupancy vs. multi-occupancy rooms for both the new space and the vacated space • Improving the overall patient experience

Creates jobs in Central Ohio Significant impact on job growth in the city and state Employment Impact • An increase of more than 10,000 jobs in Central Ohio by 2015: • Direct increased employment will be responsible for a total of 17,742jobs. • Business generated by OSUMC will increase indirect employment to a total of 14,193jobs.
