Duration: 01/02/2014 – 31/01/2015 Partners: - Council for Cities and Communities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DE) - Pomeranian Association of Rural Municipalities (PL) - Fritid&Samfund / national umbrella associations of municipalities (DK) - KommunförbundetSkåne (SE) Programme: Active Citizens for Europe; Measure 2.2. „Support measures“ Costs:€ 123,855Fund: € 99,084 (80%) / Own contribution € 24,771 (20%)
Promotion of new „Europe for Citizens“ programme in PL, DK, SE and DE (new EFC programme lasts from 2014-2020 however details are not yet published) • Increasing the number of applications in all partner countries • Improving applications’ quality by supporting communities actively in application designing and writing • Intensifying relationship and cooperation between communities in PL, DK, SE, DE (but also other countries of the European Union) Objectives:
Activities: 02-03/2014: a) one day kick-off meeting for settling all project management issues b) two or three days EfC information and application writing workshop - these two activities will take place in Schwerin (DE) - the application writing workshops should be attended by persons familiar and/or interested in this issue and prepared to take active part in BASEREC. - workshop can be attended by partner organisations’ staff and/or by external experts
Activities: 04-10/2014: national EfC information seminars - two information seminars implemented in PL, DK, SE and DE - approx. 20 participants in each country at each seminar - main aim is to inform local communities and their bodies/associations about the new Europe for Citizens Programme and how to apply for cooperation projects with international partners (mainly town-twinning and town networking projects)
Activities: 04/2014-01/2015: national “flying project office“ consultancy activities - approx. 200 persons in total should be reached in PL, DK, SE, DE - communities should be consulted and supported when applying for EfC projects - support to communities in finding transnational cooperation partners (mainly communities in countries of the Baltic Sea region) - finally, in PL, DK and SE at least five applications each should be submitted at the EfC programme during the project’s lifetime; from DE seven application should be submitted
Activities: 11/2014: Promotion and networking conference - two-days conference in Rostock (DE) - approx. 10 participants from PL, DK and SE - approx. 20-40 participants from DE - main issues will be the overall presentation of the BASEREC project and its main outcomes and results; also workshops and networking activities will be implemented
Dissemination activities: project website with main information in all partner languages + ENG 2000 flyers and 200 posters in POL, DAN, SVE and GER dissemination articles in PL, DK, SE and DE at least 1 press/promotion event in PL, DK, SE, 2 in DE
