  14. 806 straws Straws rejection (out of parameter specification): diameter out of specification D=(9.75-9.80) mm – ~ 0.4% ( 3 straws) seam width less than W=0.4 mm – ~ 0.4% ( 3 straws) elongation less than 1 mm – ~ 2.5% (20 straws) ~ 3.3%(26 straws) 6-Sep-14 S.Movchan Straw manufacturing and QC 14

  15. Conclusion 806 straws were manufactured (February-April 2011): ~20 straws/shift ~ 100 straws per spool (L=300 m). Efficiency of mylar tape used is about 90% Straw parameters: - diameter Dav = 9.78 mm - sample elongation dLav= 7.0 mm (o-ring 5 mm width tensile test) - visible ultrasonic track width Wav=0.725 mm - resistance Rav=61.8 Ohm (L=2600 mm) Straws rejection (out of parameter specification): ~ 3.3%(26 straws) Dubna straw quality is adequate to NA62 requirements 6-Sep-14 S.Movchan Straw manufacturing and QC 15
