  2. WLO Maya Works Sale 2006 • WLO participated in the Second Annual IVCC Staff Arts & Crafts Fair on November 16, 2006. • We featured Fair Trade Weavings and Beadworks from Maya Works. • The women of the Lake Atitlán region of Guatemala benefit directly from the sale of these beautiful crafts.

  3. WLO Student Members set up the booth in record time...

  4. WLO Students learned about Maya culture of the Yucatán first hand as they selected, inventoried, displayed and sold.

  5. Our WLO vendors even found time to study Spanish when they weren’t selling...

  6. We also sold German pickle ornaments for the tree...

  8. The WLO Sale was a success! • We were able to raise funds for the artists and weavers of Lake Atitlán. • We raised a small profit for WLO activities for IVCC students and the Illinois Valley community. • Students had a first-hand opportunity to experience Maya culture beyond their textbooks.

  9. Thank you to all the WLO members who participated. Thank you to everyone who supported our fund-raising effort. The WLO Sale was a success!
