Allow Natural Death (A.N.D.) • Were called DNAR orders. • Should a patient arrest neither basic nor advanced CPR will be started – it does not relate to any other treatment. • A crash call must be initiated on a patient unless an A.N.D. order/decision has been made. • Staff must read the hospital policy plus leaflet (key roles & responsibilities).
