  1. Sustainability Flin flon’s air quality has a lot more pollutants in it due to the past, the smelter was killing our ecozone slowly. Our plants were not growing like they were before the stack was put up. After they shut it down on June of 2010. People started realizing the damage it was doing to our ecozone, and our community in general. People with asthma were having troubles breathing because of the constant smog and acid rain. The green project helped our trees recover pretty quick because the limestone that was spread neutralized the acidity in out soil. People have began recycling a lot more, disposing of chemical waste has been a lot more efficiant, and our lakes, and forests have been doing a lot better over the years. If we keep up this act of great appreciation to the environment, it will look great for our children and their future on our planet.
