  1. Craig J. Hawker, University of California-Santa Barbara, DMR 0520415 Probing Energy Conversion at Interfaces of Organic Semiconducting Materials PCBM (acceptor) e- Organic materials enable mechanically flexible solar cells with power conversion efficiency of ~8%. To achieve higher performance better control over the interfaces of materials is necessary. We have developed novel methods to pattern and examine the morphology in bulk heterojunction (BHJ) polymer solar cells at the nanometer scale. light P3HT Cross Section of Imprinted Film substrate 200nm Confocal Raman Imaging Scanning Conducting Probe AFM Conductivity of P3HT overlayed onto a topographic map C=C vibration from P3HT in patterned BHJ bends 1448 cm-1
