Tasks of the EHES RC (1/3) • Development and publication of the EHES Manual • Assessment of available standards for suggested additional measurements • Providing professional support to the countries planning a national HES • Developing the training programme for the EHES system, preparing training material and organizing international training seminars

Tasks of the EHES RC (2/3) • Coordinating external quality control and preparing guidelines for and monitoring of internal quality control • Developing principles and rules for sharing individual-level HES data • Establishing a data transfer and management system • Planning standardized blood sample storage protocols

  6. Tasks of the EHES RC (3/3) • Developing a system for rapid reporting of the basic survey results • Performing a risk assessment for the implementation and coordination of the pilot EHES • Preparing national manuals together with the national authorities

  7. Professional support • Review of the national • HES plans • Dissemination plans • Assistance for • Sampling issues (SSB, Norway) • Legal, ethical and data confidentiality issues (ISS, Italy) • Defining the national HES budget
