  6. Accessing the Final Evaluation • When you open a teacher’s plan, select the “Final Evaluation” tab on the right

  7. General Overview/Demographics • Employee information • Initial Planning Sheet submission and conference • Observation dates and durations • Conference dates The Final Evaluation Form will pre-populate with information and data that you entered during the year.

  8. IPS dates will pre-populate if you entered them in the IPS sign-off activity Observation dates will pre-populate if you entered them in the scheduling activities

  9. Area 1: Observation of Practice • Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, and Delivery of Instruction • Formal Observations • Informal Growth Plan Visits • Supplemental Observations

Area 2: Contributions to Student Outcomes Guiding Questions: • Did the teacher demonstrate progress towards meeting his/her data-based objective? • Did the teacher show progress towards implementing strategies outlined for the data-based objective? • Did the teacher provide assessments or student work that demonstrate student progress?

Area 3: Teacher Progress towardIPS Objectives • Review the objectives of the teacher’s Initial Planning Sheet • Consider these guiding questions: • Did the teacher make progress toward meeting the objectives? • Did the teacher implement the strategies outlined in the Initial Planning Sheet? • Add an optional comment particularly re: any objectives added by the administrator

  31. Sign-Off and Share (Principal as Evaluator) • Review the completed Final Evaluation Report • Print copies of the report using Print PDF • Electronically sign (Acknowledge) and MarkComplete on the activity

  32. Final Evaluation Conference • Share Report with the teacher in the Final Conference • Teacher electronically signs in the step “Final Evaluation Report and Sign-Off (Teacher)” • All parties sign hardcopies

Sign-Off and Share (Designated Evaluator and Principal) • Review the completed Final Evaluation Report (Principal) • Electronically sign (Acknowledge) and DO NOT MarkCompleteon the activity (Principal) • Print copies of the report using Print PDF (Designated Evaluator) • Mark Complete (Designated Evaluator)

  34. Final Conference Notes, Attachments, and Signed Hardcopy • Input the date of the Final Conference • Scan and Upload the signed hardcopy • Scan and Upload any supporting documents shared in the conference • Lock all Final Evaluation activities

  35. Uploading Supporting Attachments To upload attachments open the section called “TGDC Attachments” in the Final Evaluation tab.

  36. What if …. … Overall instructional practice is strong, but no evidence shown on working towards Initial Planning Sheet objectives? …Teacher’s observation ratings were mostly “Effective”, yet there are many “Ineffective” ratings in Additional Professional Responsibilities?

  37. What would you advise if …. … Overall instructional practice is exceptional? … Instructional practice is a mix between “Ineffective” and “Developing” levels of performance? … ??

  38. What happens if the Final Overall Rating is Below Standard Performance? • Notify Staff Relations Field Directors ASAP • Follow detailed steps in Final Evaluation User’s Guide • Teacher must be scheduled for evaluation next year
