Purpose • PEIMS Data is used for: • TEA Standard Reports • Texas Accountability System • Demographics • College & Career Military Ready indicators • First Financial Accountability rating • TEA Data Resources & Research • Texas Student Data System (TSDS) • Early Childhood Data Submission (ECDS) KG and PK • Class Roster • Residential Facility (RF) Tracker – Special Education • Budget Process • Audits • External and Internal • Grant Applications • Export Files –ex. Tango, iStation, CLI Engage, Fitness Gram

Data Submissions • Fall - Student Data & Finance Budget • Student accountability group • Mid Year – District’s Actual expenditures • Kindergarten Assessment Data – changing for 2019-2020 • SPPI 14 Submission – new • Class Roster Submission – new • Prekindergarten Assessment Data – changing for 2019-2020 • Resident Facilities RF Tracker –new Special Education • Summer – Attendance, Course Completion, Contact Hours for CATE and Special Education, Discipline • Extended Year – Summer Programs (Bilingual, Special Education, Dual Credit)

District’s Responsibility • Data Integrity: • To submit current, complete, and accurate data • Validate and edit the data • Correct and process data in a timely manner • Submit a ‘fatal-free’ file to TEA on or before the required due date • Requires Superintendent’s signature -approves accuracy and authenticity of data • Keep student data confidential and secure • Keep user’s accounts secure • No sharing and saving user account information • Maintain district’s password policy
