  1. California roll out plan for MBA research

  2. Background:California was a long-time member state. But, were our teachers utilizing the membership? We weren’t sure.

  3. Jim Gleason, CEO of MBA Research… came to California and we discussed reasons, options, and possibilities.

We renewed our membership for 2015-16 for these reasons: Standards Support Ca roll out MBA Research staff offered to crosswalk the national standards with our CA Business and Marketing CTE standards. WOW! MBA research created a survey, modeled on WA’s survey for CA teachers, to help us discover knowledge of MBA Research, how often the resources are being used/accessed, etc. Supported our idea of a roll out plan and worked with us to provide activities, resources, and support to our statewide trainers.

Components of the ca roll out plan: CA Train the Trainer program: publicized, applications were received and reviewed, 8 trainers selected; Brenda Clark from MBA Research traveled to CA and provided a 2 day training for our teachers Trainers are expected to share resources with their local regions/school Trainers will present: CTSO’s – FBLA and DECA At the CA Business Education Association (CBEA) state conference Educating for Careers Conference

  7. What does this mean for YOU, the Teacher/user? You can obtain support for using the resources from the trainers. We are here today sharing with you! If you have questions, your trainers are….   10. The Gray Zone – i.e. Ethics Wednesday How do your students view the business world? Do they see it strictly in terms of black and white? Or, do they understand that it also includes many shades of gray? Use The Gray Zone to introduce your students to problems and situations that don't have one specific right or wrong answer. Each Gray Zone is based on a unique performance indicator from MBAResearch's national standards and presents students with an ethical dilemma in business to resolve.  Go to The Gray Zone page
