Professor will visit in person each semester Professor will be available via phone, fax, email for support Professor will provide curriculum, materials, tests & supplements upon request Professor has final authority on university grade HS will initiate request for visit for earlier date or extra visit HS will contact professor if questions arise regarding course HS will request additional supplemental course materials if needed HS has final authority on HS transcript grade Professor / Teacher Relationship

Grading Procedures • Grading may be negotiated between the HS teacher and the SMSU professor • Final grades need to be submitted to the Supervising Professor at the end of the course • University grading rubrics should be used to prevent grade inflation • Class of all “A” grades will be considered grade inflation and may be reviewed by the university

  4. Purpose of Supervision • The primary purpose for the mentoring role of the SMSU professor is to ensure the university integrity of the course • This is vital because: • It assists with the university experience • It maintains the academic rigor of coursework • It ensures the transferability of credits

  5. Problems? • Any problems involving the supervisory relationship or the grading process should be reported to the College Now Director • The Director will act as mediator/negotiator to resolve issues • The best interest of the students and integrity of the program is primary
