  3. I. Introductory ParagraphA. Statement about your topicB. General thoughts • This is your opening paragraph. Use it to attract the reader to your essay! It’s your chance to impress your audience. “Hook” them into your story.

  4. II. InspirationA. Person / Why? B. Favorite (personal) choices 1. color 2. name 3. smell • This is the who, what, and why parts of your 5W and How notes. Be descriptive and specific.

  5. III. DesignA. Special materials B. Where is it growing? • This is the when, where, and what of your notes. Use adjectives. Be specific in your details

  6. IV. Marketing / PriceA. Advertisement 1. What is special about your flower? B. Consumer base- Who is buying it? Why is it popular? • This is the why and how parts of your notes. Again, be descriptive. Make the reader want to buy your product!

  7. V. Closing ParagraphA. ConclusionB. Feelings about the assignment. (examples) “I really had fun…” “I really enjoyed…” • This is where you summarize your essay. Make a statement that will be memorable to the reader.
