Political Parties Who accredited political party and independent candidate agents? • The Joint Electoral management Body accredited the agents with issued Certificate of Accreditation and Badges which allowed them to monitor the entire process. Which political parties appointed agents? • Political Parties registered by the Ministry of Justice and accredited by the Joint Electoral Management Body appointed agents to participate in the electoral process.

Endorsement Could a political party with no endorsed candidate still field agents? • It was not necessary for the political party to have endorsed a candidate in order to field participating agents in the electoral process Did a candidate have to be endorsed by a political party? • Those registered as independent candidates did appoint agents to participate in the electoral process. The independent candidate does not have to apply to the JEMB for accreditation. They just have to submit a list of agents • If the candidate belonged to a political party, the political party appointed agents on the candidate’s behalf
